Desktop Publishing

Picture
Desktop Publishing introduces the student to the world of design, creation, formatting, and computer technology through the processes of knowledge-level and application-level instructional activities.

The student will first gain an understanding of graphic design elements and how, why, and where Desktop Publishing is used and how it can be beneficial in the home, school and workplace.

Students will then be able to apply their knowledge and creativity by producing products independtly and in teams using Microsoft Word, Publisher, PowerPoint, and the Internet including digital cameras and scanners.

Tutorials will be utilized through Atomic Learning to demonstrate to the student how applications in Microsoft Publisher operate.

This course counts toward the Michigan Merit Visual/Performing Arts credit (.5 credit)!
