I welcome you to class and invite you to learn more about me!
I graduated from Western Michigan University in 2001 with my Bachelor's degree (Secondary Education in Business) and received my Master's degree in 2008 in Career Technical Education.
I have taught at Northern for 19.5 years! Courses taught include:
*Accounting
*Advanced Accounting
*Computer Applications
*Keyboarding
*Multi-Media Desktop Publishing
*Introduction to Business
I serve as the Business Department chairperson. In 2009 I received the Wells Cook Master Teacher of Business Education for the state of Michigan through Michigan Business Education Association. In 2012 I was also recognized as an Excellence in Education educator. And, most recently, I was named the 2017 Outstanding Accounting High School Teacher through the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants.
As an Education for Employment instructor for Accounting, students in this program earning a B or better get free college credit, among other perks! Be sure to check out the Accounting page for more information!
